Sound Effects in the X-Men Opening

This is the opening of the film so their aim is to show the audience what the film is about and what sort of film it's going to be. As well as all the clips in the scene the sound effects make a massive impact of what the film is going to include and what the films genre may be. They use the sound effects in a clever way, for example the music that plays all the way throughout the clip is a very soft and gentle sound and this shows the audience that the won't be scary or too much, the special sound effects are things like magical noises such as at 00:12 till 00:14 children are playing basketball and one of the children teleports and the sound effect that goes with it makes the audience think that the film may have people with super powers in it. Also I noticed that the voice over and dialogue are never on at the same time because if they were they would clash and you wouldn't be able to understand people talking over each other. Sound effects are really important because it tells the story as well as the visual effects, without sound in films sometimes it would be much harder to understand.
