Evie Angeline was born to unknown parents on the same day as Olive Bean. Evie has lived between orphanages and foster homes her whole life. Like Olive she excels in academia and has experienced the same haunting. She is quiet and reserved, something of a recluse. She prefers books to human interaction and has been tirelessly researching the mysterious 'things' she sees. She is regularly a victim of bullying, though she has grown resilient to it.

Olive Bean was born to unknown parents on the same day as Evie Angeline. She was fostered by Dave and Alice Bean a year later. Olive had a comfortable, promising childhood. She learned to walk and speak far quicker than average children. She excelled in primary school, being placed in gifted classes for English. But it was on the day of her 13th birthday the life she knew fell apart. Her parents told her she had been adopted and that they didn't know her real parents. Olive fell into depression and stages of psychosis, unable to distinguish dream from reality. Ever since she has been plagued by a mysterious figure that haunts her steps.

Olive has always had difficulty making friends, though, the reason for this is not apparent.
