Improved shots

Here are the improved shots, with the old shots to show the difference.

Original Shot 1 - Scene 1.
This photo is bad because it's bad composition and has a very distracting background therefore the audience aren't focusing on olive which they should.

Improved Shot 1 - Scene 1
This one is much better as we're now focused more on olive and the background is more plain. We also put our own college name over the top of long road onto the sign to show off our college in our film.

Original Scene 1 - Shot 3
This was a bad photo because the character is right in the middle which shows we aren't thinking about good composition and there is building work going on behind which takes focus from the main character.

Improved Scene 1 - Shot 3
We then improved it and thought about the rule of thirds and compitsition so we placed the bully leaning up against the wall in the first third and to balance it out there are two trees which frame the photo. There is also space for Olive to walk into and this is called "space to move".

Original Scene 1 - Shot 4
This picture is just very empty and doesn't tel us anything about the shot, we also forget that there is a bin in the distance.

Improved Scene 1 - Shot 4
We then improved it by creating leading lines with the trees and the path, the trees show depth and the path shows where Olive is walking. There is also a nice big branch framing the shot.

Original Scene 2 -Shot 1
This photo has a good angle and is a good shot. The posters and the radiation is what lets it down because it makes it look messy and takes away the focus from Olive. Also her head is cropped out.

Improved Scene 2 / Shot 1
We then used the same angle effect but used a less cluttered wall with no posters so the background is very plan and we put Olive into the third, third of rule of thirds to get the composition right.

Original Scene 2 - Shot 6
This photo is really bad. Olive is smack bam in the middle of the shot with a very un-realistic look on her face, there is also a rubbish background and different things peeping in making it not look good.

Improved Scene 2 - Shot 6
Now it looks much better with Olives face looking more realistically shocked and we photoshopped the posters off of the wall for it not to look cluttered anymore. We also thought about composition and put Olive sitting in the third, third.

Original Scene 3 - Shot 3
This picture doesn't tell us anything about the shot and is very plain. Which makes it hard for the audience to understand. Also the background is ugly and distracting.

Improved Scene 3 / Shot 3
Olive is now in the first third and we changed the shot so that the background is just plan bricks and it makes more focus onto Olive. Her facial expression is also better and makes her look more out of breath like the shot it suppose to give off.
