Self Assessment of rough cut

Audio
In my film all of the dialogue was recorded when we filmed the actual shot not on a microphone which is what other people have done, we didn't do this because it sounds a lot different and louder which makes it less realistic, however the way we've done it makes it harder for the dialogue to be clear as sometimes the camera is a long way away from the person talking or there is different sounds in the back ground. To do this better i have muted certain parts of the film and replaced it with ambient sounds or music to make it more atmospheric and sound better when watching it back.
Special Effects
In our sequence we have four special effects. They are changing the sign of long road, Olives eyes changing color, my eyes changing color and a bolt of lightening coming out of my hand. After finishing the rough cut we hadn't finished the whole thing therefore not all of the special effects were in there, the one that was is Olives eyes changing color. To make the special effects look really good we have all been looking at tutorials on you tube to help us and helped each other in our group.
Sequence
Over all at the moment i think my sequence looks really good. At the start we had a couple of costume changes which wasn't really a problem at all but because of that we had to re shoot some shots therefore it was quite a rush to get things done in time for the rough cut deadline, we met that deadline but not with the sequence that i am happy to keep, it wasn't as good as it could be. From now on i will work more on the sequence to get it all done for the final deadline and up to the best standards that it can be...
