Special Effects - "misfits first episode"

In the first episode of misfits there are lots of different special effects like at 4:36 Nathan looks up into the sky to the storm and says "what is going on with the weather" the special effect is the sky and how it is made to look like a real storm. The next special effect is when something drops on the leaders car at 4:50, they could of done this in lots of different ways like, dropping it from a higher space so it looks like it came from the sky or putting it on a wire and swinging it down when it was meant to fall. At 5:13 the bin explodes and this is a special effect to show that the storm is really powerful. At 6:18 the storm then hits the characters and then fly up and get struck by lightening this will be a special effect used with the green screen as they're floating in the air but with just a plain black background behind them. The next special effect is at 6:43 when they fall on the ground, they would of fallen onto a stunt mat not the ground but the effect is that the mat has been replaced with the ground so it looks more realistic. Later on in the episode at 30:22 all of the characters except from Curtis freeze, this is a special effect of showing how Curtis can stop time and go back to see the past and see the future. After that at 30:32 they use Curtis's eye as a frame and place the clip through Curtis's eye to show he's going back in time.
